One of Storytell's core values is "Apply High-Leverage Thinking." We've created a team, dubbed the Triage team, that enables our Crew to live this value in your day-to-day work. Here's how to use it:
The goal of the Triage team is to help you get things done that are important, but that you otherwise wouldn't have time to do. Every time you think "I really need to... XYZ" just file a triage team request and have them to it for you. Some specific examples of the kinds of tasks the Triage team offloads for our Crew are below.
How to Make a Triage ask:
You can send tasks to the Triage team in several ways:
Slack: File a triage request in our #triage-requests channel
Email: Send an email to triage@storytell.ai (only works from a Storytell email address)
Notion: Create a new card in our Triage notion kanban board
iPhone Shortcuts: You can copy this iOS Shortcut to the Shortcuts app on your phone and then file tasks as audio notes right from your phone with one tap (you'll also need to ask our Triage team to grant you access to the Dropbox folder it uses)
Here's what it looks like when you make the ask via Slack:

Here's what the iPhone Shortcut workflow looks like: You tap the shortcut, record an audio file on your phone, it gets saved to a Dropbox folder, and then pushed to the Notion Triage board with the audio file attached:

Configure the shortcut → Tap it to use → Dictate your Triage ask → It'll get pushed to Notion automatically.
What happens after you make your Triage ask:
We use Zapier to automate sending the Slack message / Shortcut app into Notion and create a card on our Notion Triage board. Here are the Zaps we use, in case you'd like to create a version of them yourself:
Zap to push Dropbox audio file into Notion as a new card (the iOS Shortcuts app will deposit the dictated audio into Dropbox)
Zap to push Slack message into Notion as a new card (with some special formatting rules to clean things up)
Here's what the cards look like when they're added to our Notion board, and the workflow process the Triage team uses to process the cards:

Requested: The triage card has not yet been processed
Acknowledged: Within 48 hours, Margaux will acknowledge the card and assign it to someone on the Triage team based on their skillsets
Blocked: The Triage team cannot proceed with your ask, and will let you know what they are blocked by so you can help unblock them
Done: The triage team has finished your ask
Delivered: You have verified that the ask has in fact been finished based on your requirements
What you can use the Triage process for:
Really, anything you need to have done but don't have the bandwidth to do yourself. The biggest limitation of the triage process is almost certainly going to be you not thinking to ask them to handle something for you -- so force yourself to try making some triage asks when you first join our Crew, even if it's uncomfortable to you, so you can experience the magic of moving things off your plate.
We also encourage you to leverage the Triage team to handle personal items for you, so you can be more focused on building value for Storytell.
Here are some examples of ways we've used the Triage team in the past:
This is a personal request: I had a medical procedure back in January and they didn’t have my new Storytell health insurance on file. I think it’s been resolved but could you please contact them and ensure that my Anthem medical information is on file with them, and that this bill is adjusted to reflect the medical coverage? Here’s a link to my Anthem coverage info: https://start.1password.com/open/i?a=XYZ
Create a PH crew Slack group and a US crew Slack group for easy slacking (instead of a post like this)
Please move past metabase swarm meetings from this location to this one https://share.getcloudapp.com/XYZ
@Margaux this is going to be for you: @Erika and @Jing both need you to run a playbook to invite CX and CTO leaders to [redacted] that @Maria is going to be facilitating. Erika says please get these invites out by EOD Tues next week. She will add to this card w/ the MixMax sequence, etc. Here is a short video I made w/ Erika for all of you to watch: https://s.drod.io/xyz
- Here is the [redacted] target list for CX: [redacted]
- Jing please find 30 mins w/ me to create a target list of your own for [redacted]; hopefully before the offsite so Margaux can make it happen while we’re away.
And so many more!
Happy triaging!
